Join us for this special concert event featuring the „explosive” Atom String Quartet, on tour from Poland.

One of the most talented young string quartets in the world , ASQ’s music output includes influences from jazz, Polish folk, music of various regions of the world, and contemporary and classical music.

The quartet was established in Warsaw in 2010, where the musicians had studied at the Warsaw Frederic Chopin University of Music.

Since 2011, the quartet constantly performs at the greatest music festivals of the world, such as: Berliner JazzStage, Jazz Baltica, Cairo Jazz Festival, Katara European Jazz Festival, Gaume Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Jazzycolors, etc.

Atom String Quartet has performed in many prestigious concert halls including: Carnegie Hall (NYC), Elbphilaharmonie (Hamburg), Berliner Philharmoniker (Berlin) and National Center for the Performing Arts (Beijing).

The group has recorded four original records, two of which received the Polish music award “Fryderyk”.

The quartet’s uniqueness is appreciated by audiences all over the world as well as prominent collaborators such as Branford Marsalis, Bobby McFerrin, Mino Cinelu, Grażyna Auguścik, and Urszula Dudziak,.

Tonight’s program will contain original music of ASQ musicians as well as music of the notable Polish composers Witold Lutosławski, Krzysztof Penderecki, Zbigniew Seifert, arranged for the string quartet by its members.
